Cookies

The posa-app.com site uses no cookies. It stores in your browser only what it takes to join a roll and not lose the photos you take, and it counts visits without recognizing you. That's why there is no consent banner.

What we store in your browser

Your guest session. When you join a roll from the browser, Supabase stores your anonymous session in localStorage: without it, on the next page we would no longer know you are in the roll. It stays until you clear the site's data; in a private window it goes when you close it. If you only look around the site, none is created.

Photos waiting to go out. The photos you take in the browser stay in IndexedDB (posa-shots) until they reach the roll, so a reloaded page or a dropped network doesn't take them away. Once they are sent, they are deleted from the browser.

These are technical tools: they only serve to give you the service you asked for, not to profile you, and by law they need no consent.

Visit statistics

We count visits with Vercel Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and stores nothing on your device. Each visit is tied to an identifier that changes every day and doesn't let us recognize you or follow you to other sites. Invite codes are stripped from page addresses before they are sent.

Inside a roll the site also records a few usage events, like “photo taken”, the same way the app does: tied to an internal identifier, never to a name, email or content. The Privacy page has the details.

What we don't use

No profiling cookies, no ads, no social network pixels, no third-party widgets that track you. The site's fonts are hosted by us: opening it sends no requests to Google.

In the app

The app uses no cookies. The session lives in the phone's secure storage. Usage statistics and errors go to PostHog, with servers in the European Union, only if you say yes when the app asks: without your yes PostHog doesn't even start. You can change your mind any time from Account → Usage statistics. No screen recording, no automatic capture of what you tap.

How to clear everything

In your browser settings, clear the data for posa-app.com. Keep in mind: if you joined as a guest you lose access to the roll from that browser, and photos not yet sent are lost with the data.

If something changes

If we ever add tools that need consent, we will ask before turning them on and update this page. For questions, write to hello@posa-app.com.
